ARE Summer Camp at Asilomar was a great success this year. Some highlights were:
We had Mary Roach teach us about intuition and psychometry
Pat Belisle talked to us about dream analysis
Alicia Retes took us down to the beach for a mediation on nature and taught us about the didgeridoo
Joe Culpepper gave us a magic show and even showed us how to perform a few tricks of our own.
Jaimal Yogis, a former camper, came back and read from his from his newly published book, Saltwater Buddha
Karyn Kleinmann taught a music workshop and we learned how to recreat the sounds of a rain forest using Brazilian bird whistles, drums, rain sticks, wind-makers and various other folk instruments.
As always we had the Cayce Games scavenger hunt, a particularly good showing for Skit Night and we all danced the Virginia Reel and Centipede. We’re already getting started planning for our November weekend! Hope to see you there.
